Look at this.
and this.
Unlikely of this part of the country, sure we get snowfall every year, but like 5 doses of 6 inches ..may be.. Thats the usual. There can only be one explanation to what we see now. Global Warming. Not surprised, huh?
Now, in other news. I made this beautiful top/bottom set from left over fabric for BN.
I love the way it turned out, she does too :-)
Ah, now I see that perhaps this is the dress you were referring to with the knit. It's hard to tell if the front and back part are knit too, but I really like the fit with the knit! Do you have tips that are different for making your bhami dress with a knit? I am looking forward to making this!
ReplyDeleteYes, it fits very nice and its so easy. The top and the bottom are knit, from 2 of my old interlock knit tops. I sized down the measurements in Bhami dress by 1/2 inch, to get a good snug fit. For example the 5 x 16 sleeve piece becomes 4.5 X 16.
ReplyDeleteI dont have a serger, so I used a combination of zig zag and the triple stretch stitch to sew up this outfit.
Thanks for the compliments on the other post :-)
THanks for the tips! Very helpful. I like the way the knit drapes on the body and fits on the arms, quite differently from a stiffer fabric. I'm thinking this would be super sweet made from *sweaters*....so a different sort of knit yet.
